What a delight to hear of Linda Holman after all these years. What vain old
man could ignore the very kind comments she made !! But oh! To think that
she has now happily retired. Because he is cleverer than I on the computer
I have asked my son to scan and forward a photograph of 4A 1960. Linda is
on it on the left hand of a middle row. In 1974 I was at a Regimental Ball
in Paderborne W. Germany and a young lady there intrigued me, I knew Iher
face. Eventually I approached her and whispered "Do you remember 4A
Verdala?" It was Sue Adams also on the photograph and standing near Linda.
We have been firm friends since that moment. She is the Headteacher of an
Army School in Gutersloh. Germany.
It was very good too to see the comments others have made about Jack,Peter
Ross, Graham King Rex Carroll and John Why ( I can still in my mind the
Recorders playing Quando Quando.)
I have always maintained that a school is only as good as the learning
community within it. The comments from so many Verdalans shows what a
success Verdala was.
