Liz, I had a similar thought about photos.....perhaps people would be kind enough to send them to the reunion group email addresses? Then at least we can see them before the memories completely fade.

I can confirm that Andrew celebrates his **th birthday tomorrow, Sunday 19th April. I gather that he has been whisked away to be pampered for a week and quite rightly so! Happy Birthday Andrew!

The only thing to be aware of is the size of file: many ISPs will not allow more than 2Mb past their portals. And if you do have a large file (or files) blocking your inbox, it's a devil to unblock - Dynorod does NOT work!

Sue - What about a group letter to reunionees asking if they'd like to have the pictures that way? They may not all be following this discussion. I don't think I have all the addresses - and I have some that weren't there!

Chris - I now have a second version of each of my reunion pictures compressed to between 50 and 100 KBS (I have a useful gismo that does it!) Does the 2mb limit refer to the number of kbs coming in attached to one message or is it the total that can be in the Inbox unopened at the same time? - I'm a bit of a dimbo with these things (one situation where the excuse of age can be an advantage!!)

Liz,
Excellent question, well formulated ...
It's normally 2Mb attached to a single message. Compressed pictures work well enough, though you will lose quality if you want to print them out. I tend to compress a photo, then save it as a separate file. That way, I can send the compressed version and keep the full high-resolution version for printing.

Chris - Thanks for clearing that up. Yup, I do the same (keep one version for printing and one for e-mailing).

It was great to see Roy again after nearly 50 years (I've some good pictures of him) and to meet your mother - just a shame there wasn't more time to talk, there were just so many people to catch up with ........... !
